I'm Bryan, I'm with KDAR Company, and I'm here to talk to you today about some tips and tricks with cable ties.

First thing that you should know about cable ties is that the nylon in cable ties requires a moisture content. Without that moisture content, they lose pliability, and they can snap or break. That's usually caused by being in a dry area or maybe in the sun or something like that.

So the next thing I'd like to talk to you about is the temperature ratings on cable ties. Temperature ratings for the application of the cable ties are not the same as the temperature rating for use of cable ties. Cable tie temperature rating for use is -40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit. But the temperature for the application is more like 32 degrees to 185 (degrees Fahrenheit).

So in order to get away from that problem or that issue in cold temperatures is you can stick the regular cable ties into your coat and keep them warm before you use them. Or, you can use frosty ties, which have an application temperature down to minus four degrees Fahrenheit.

So another thing that I'd like to talk to you about is a way to keep your cable ties organized, you know, at least in the bag while you're using them, but make it easy to get a hold of. So you can do is you can take the cable tie bag, take a scissors or a knife, cut it horizontally. And that makes it easy to grab a tie out without spilling the cable ties all over the floor.

The final thing I'd like to talk to you about is the way to take the tail off of the cable tie after it has been attached to whatever you're trying to tie. Some people will cut it off with a knife that'll usually leave a sharp edge that can scratch a person.

The best way to do it is just grab a pliers and twist. That leaves you with a nice, clean area that's not going to cut you or scrape you.
